The town is turned orange with and array of orange themed stalls, together with loads of music and entertainment. The event is FREE. There is also a free shuttle bus to take you out to historic Dalemain House for even more marmalde and orange !
More details can be found on the dedicated website for this event at penrithgoesorange
We have been working on some self guided touring routes for motorbike or car. These will be particularly useful if you are not in the area for many days and want to see as much as you can while you are here in Cumbria. We have three route to choose from:
1) Lake District Mountain Passes - a drive or ride through all the tarmaced mountain passes. Probably a full day including stops for coffee, lunch, photos, etc., approx. 120 miles.
